Retired UME Founder Lisa Schneider Returns as New Product Lead

Lansdale, PA—Underwriting Management Experts, UME, has announced that Lisa Schneider, founder and former CFO, is coming out of retirement to rejoin the organization.

Schneider will be returning to UME as Product Lead. She will be responsible for managing the development of multiple new products that UME will introduce and offer in the coming months.

Schneider originally retired from UME on January 1, 2018.

“With the passion I have for Underwriting, it was difficult to stay away – so I’m back from retirement,” says Lisa Schneider.

As founder and CFO, Schneider was a talented and driven entrepreneur whose leadership firmly established UME in the stop-loss industry. Schneider became an active participant in the group insurance field in 1984.

She received her degree from Vanderbilt University, and, in 1995, developed an aggregate manual that is still in use today. In 2014, Schneider founded UME and helped grow the organization to a thriving $200+ million-dollar enterprise with over 60 employees.

Anne Marie Chapman, Founder and CEO, stated: “These are exciting times for UME. We could think of no one better than Lisa to help us move forward with new products and ideas. Our partners, clients, and the whole staff at UME are thrilled to have someone as talented as Lisa back on the team.”
