Hi, I’m Vince and I am the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer here at UME. My early career in retail gave me an appreciation for being directly connected to customers. While my technical skills and interests allowed me to thrive as group underwriter for several large insurance companies, I missed dealing directly with customers. I chose to pursue a career in sales where I could combine my technical and product knowledge with a love for working directly with customers, helping them solve really complex challenges.
Today, and for the past 30-plus years, I have the honor of working with employee benefit brokers, consultants and third-party administrators to design medical stop loss solutions that bring peace of mind to employers and much needed catastrophe coverage to their employees.
Jack McCarthy is the President of UME. His focus is on the execution of strategic growth, product development, cost containment, and finance. Previously, Jack has worked on both the carrier and broker side in accident and health benefits. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University, with concentrations in Finance and Health Services Administration. Samantha Gallagher, otherwise known as Sam, is the Chief Risk Officer. Sam has been in the insurance industry since 2004, and her motto has always been “work hard and play hard.” In her role, she enjoys getting to know partners to provide a personalized experience. Sam focuses on three fundamental pillars for her strategic vision for UME: professional expertise, personalized service, and creative solutions to an ever-changing marketplace. She is most excited for UME’s future as we heighten our possibilities by enhancing our product suite. Costas Reamensnyder is the Chief Financial Officer at UME. Before UME, he performed financial auditing for self-insured health plans and then ran a TPA for over 5 years. Formally, Costas has degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, and a minor in Industrial Psychology. As UME’s CFO, he ensures the finance department continues to run smoothly. UME’s financial division manages premiums received, claim payments to policyholders, commission payments, and other related tasks.
