UME Honors Juneteenth

It’s official- #Juneteenth has been declared a federal holiday in the United States! Honoring the end of slavery, Juneteenth originated in Galveston, Texas, and has been celebrated since 1866. UME not only supports diversity, inclusivity, and racial equality; we also hope this important day will continue the work to build equality for all people.
