Medical Stop-Loss Captive Sales Executive

Role Overview:
Are you a driven, results-oriented sales professional looking to make an impact through
alternative risk financing solutions? As a Medical Stop-Loss Captive Sales Executive
at Underwriting Management Experts (UME), you will play an integral role in
transforming healthcare financing for mid to large-sized organizations by introducing
them to UME’s innovative medical stop-loss captive solutions. In this position, you will
also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, educate others on the
benefits of self-funding and help drive growth in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sale Growth: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the
    medical stop-loss captive market.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with brokers, consultants, and
    direct employer groups.
  • Educate and Consult: Explain the benefits of captive insurance programs and
    guide clients through the implementation process.
  • Identify Opportunities: Conduct research and analyze industry trends to identify
    potential target markets and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate: Work with internal teams to deliver best-in-class service and ensure
    client satisfaction.
    Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in stop-loss insurance, employee benefits, or captive
    insurance sales strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of self-funding, stop-loss insurance, and captive
    structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and persuasive presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, competitive
    environment.
  • Established relationships with brokers, TPAs, or consultants highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, healthcare administration, or
    related field preferred.
